Dasparkhotel

A really cool example that anything can be done with creativity.

This great concept (by Andreas Strauss) of using drain pipes as sleeping units makes a lot of sense for travelers looking for an affordable place to rest for a few days or perhaps even hours this coming spring.

With their user-friendly “pay as you wish” system. A night in dasparkhotel costs what you can afford or want to pay.

We see “pay as you wish” as a system where customers leave a Euro amount that they can afford and with which they wish to support our project.

Backpackers could find this option to be the perfect solution, specially with the online reservation. Where you get a code to open your personal suite.(the code will be activated through the length of your stay, allowing you to come and go as you please).

Each unit is equipped with a double bed, pillows, linens, a lamp, storage space but most importantly an electrical outlet where you can charge any device.

These units are currently parked at the Rodlpark in Ottensheim, Austria, right by the Danube river.

Amenities such as bathrooms, bar and a cafeteria are just within steps from these 9ton units that you can rest assure won’t roll down the river while you’re sleeping.
